Indiana University received an oral commitment from Richard Mandeville, a 6-foot-11, 240-pound center from La Canada High, who was coveted by UCLA.
Mandeville averaged 18 points and 11 rebounds as a junior last season, leading La Canada to the Southern Section 3-A championship.
