RETAIL
It’s Tuesday Again: Tuesday Morning--the chain of deep-discount stores, not the day of the week--plans to open its fourth Orange County store in Anaheim Hills.
It is one of nine new stores being opened nationwide by the Dallas chain in time for its spring sales period, starting today . The chain’s distinctive feature, in addition to its unusual name, is that the store is only open for a few weeks at a time twice or three times a year.
The chain returned to Orange County after an absence of several years. Its Huntington Beach store was so mobbed by shoppers that some shelves were empty by the end of the first day of sales. The shops sell housewares and gift items at 50% to 80% off comparable retail prices.
The new Anaheim Hills store will be in the Vista Nohl Plaza on South Villa Real Drive. There are also stores in Mission Viejo and Irvine.
