Williams Named New Police Chief
In all the reporting on the selection of Williams, it is apparent that the members of the LAPD do not understand that the primary concern of the majority of the citizens is police morals, not morale.
We have a department that doesn’t work; its failures abound in increased crime and lawsuits against the department.
These city employees, from assistant chiefs to probationary officers, need to rethink their jobs. Integrity, civility and decency are their paramount requirements and until department personnel reflect these traits, they cannot effectively “protect and serve.â€
