The NCAA Committee on Infractions has accepted...
The NCAA Committee on Infractions has accepted self-imposed sanctions on the Vanderbilt women’s basketball program resulting from violations under former coach Phil Lee, the NCAA said.
The committee has also determined that Lee, who stepped down from the Vanderbilt job in 1991, must appear before the committee if he seeks employment in an athletically related position at an NCAA institution during the next three years.
As a result of violations involving Lee, Vanderbilt officials placed restrictions on the women’s program, limiting official paid visits and number of scholarships.
