A pair of robbers held 20 customers and employees of a Hillcrest bank at gunpoint Wednesday before getting away with more than $10,000, police said.
The two men, one wearing a navy blue ski mask and armed with a large handgun, entered the Bank of America at 737 University Ave. about 11 a.m, police spokesman Bill Robinson said. The masked robber ordered the bank customers and employees to lie on the floor while the other robber jumped over the counter and took money from four tellers.
No one was injured, and no shots were fired, Robinson said.
The masked robber is described as white, in his 30s, 5-foot-10 and weighing 180 pounds, Robinson said. The other robber is described as a muscular black man in his late 20s, 6-foot with a four-day growth of beard.
The pair were last seen driving east on Robinson Avenue in a gray four-door, late-model Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme, Robinson said.
