A 20-year-old Escondido motorcyclist was killed Sunday afternoon when he collided with a car making a turn.
Jason J. Wilson, who lived on South Spruce Street, was killed at 2:57 p.m. as he traveled at high speed along Linea Del Cielo in Rancho Santa Fe, where he collided with a car making a left turn into a driveway, authorities said.
The collision caused two other accidents. A second motorcyclist also struck the car and possibly also hit Wilson, according to the California Highway Patrol. The second motorcyclist was thrown from his cycle, which continued on without its rider and struck another car.
The drivers of the two cars involved in the accidents were uninjured. The second motorcyclist was treated for injuries at Scripps Hospital in La Jolla.
Wilson was wearing a helmet at the time of his fatal crash.
