Pierce’s Welles Ties Home Run Mark in Win

Robby Welles had three hits and tied Pat Fairly’s 2-year-old school record with his 10th home run of the season as Pierce College knocked off Santa Monica, 19-1, in a Western State Conference baseball game Thursday.
Welles also drove in three runs for the Brahmas, (18-2-1, 10-1 in WSC play), who had 20 hits.
