REAL ESTATE : Las Vegas Office of Burke Commercial to Be Associated With Lee & Associates

After being courted by a number of big-name brokerages, the Las Vegas office of the now-defunct Burke Commercial Real Estate decided to go with Lee & Associates, one of Orange County’s top brokerages.
The Las Vegas office was left stranded when Irvine-based Burke Commercial Real Estate shut its doors last month. Unlike Burke’s Orange County location, the Las Vegas office had been turning a profit since it opened two years ago. When Burke owner Jerry Adams called it quits, he agreed to let the Nevada brokerage remain in operation as an independent firm.
“We had to decide whether to stay independent or reassociate with a regional firm,” said Judi Woodyard, president of the Las Vegas office, which has 19 brokers. The office will be Lee & Associates’ first Las Vegas post and its second out-of-state venture. Last year, the brokerage opened a branch in Phoenix.
