This Time, Forrest Misses Everything

ATLANTA — Georgia Tech Coach Bobby Cremins tried an unusual ploy during a Monday practice, seeking to get his players to forget the buzzer-beating shot in the 79-78 victory over USC that moved the Yellow Jackets into the NCAA basketball tournament’s round of 16.
“We ran the same out-of-bounds play we did against Southern Cal,” Cremins said Tuesday. “James Forrest didn’t hit the rim, the basket or anything. I think that ended it right there.”
Georgia Tech (23-11) will play Memphis State (22-10) Friday night in a Midwest Regional semifinal at Kansas City.
