If the information is correct in Joe Saltzman’s article, “Beware: Videotapes Won’t Last Forever” (TV Times, Feb. 23), then the same caution must be applied to audiocassette tapes and computer floppy disks. Is the record of this entire generation at risk? It looks as if future archeologists won’t be out of a job after all.
