An 87-year-old San Diego woman was beaten and stabbed early Saturday by two men who broke into her San Diego home, police said.
The woman, who was not identified, called authorities about 6:40 a.m. to report that two men had entered through a window of the home in the 1000 block of 21st St.
The woman was stabbed twice in the back as the men ransacked the home for jewelry, but she still had the strength to call police for help.
She was being treated late Saturday at Mercy Hospital.
