In the News: Via satellite, Russian Federation President Boris Yeltsin will accept the American Foundation for the Performing Arts’ first humanitarian award at a post-Academy Awards party March 30 at the Regent Beverly Wilshire, the foundation announced. . . . And Saturday at 10 a.m., a fund-raising premiere of Don Bluth’s animated feature “Rock-a-Doodle” at the Westside Pavilion will benefit the Samuel Goldwyn Foundation Children’s Center of the Motion Picture and Television Fund.
