Temple City : Trains Not Welcome
Commuter trains are not welcome in Temple City, the City Council unanimously decided Tuesday.
In response to a request by the Los Angeles County Transportation Commission that the city help pay for a study of where to put a commuter rail line through the San Gabriel Valley, the council said it doesn’t want to help pay for the study and doesn’t want rail lines in the city at all.
Council members said train stations would just cause problems, attracting transients and traffic.
