Past Due: Oscar nominee Warren Beatty will present awards to the widows of blacklisted screenwriters Albert Maltz and Dalton Trumbo at Sunday’s Writers Guild West Award ceremonies. The awards for Maltz’s “Broken Arrow” and Trumbo’s “Roman Holiday” correct the presentation of other awards in the 1950s when both writers were prevented from taking credit for their films. A special award will also go to George Stevens Jr. for his civil rights-themed ABC miniseries “Separate but Equal.”
