A Classy Production: “Class of ‘61,” a Civil War-era series from Steven Spielberg’s Amblin Television, will make its debut this fall on ABC. Historic figures and events will figure in the stories that revolve around original characters created for the series. The main roles are three West Pointers who were in a class with George Armstrong Custer and Henry A. du Pont. Another major character will be a photographer who will chronicle their stories from Bull Run to Reconstruction.
