HUNTINGTON BEACH — An unconscious man washed ashore on Bolsa Chica State Beach Sunday night after his boat apparently capsized near the beach, authorities said. No other injuries were reported.
The man, whose name was not immediately available, was given medical aid by the Huntington Beach Fire Department and then taken to Pacifica Community Hospital in Huntington Beach, a spokeswoman with the department said.
His condition was not known late Sunday night.
Huntington State Beach lifeguards and the Sheriff’s Department Harbor Patrol were still investigating the accident crash Sunday night. The boat apparently ran aground south of the beach’s public entrance but further details were unavailable, a Harbor Patrol deputy said.
It was not immediately known how many people were on the boat, which was reported to be a 20-foot Bayliner.
