Actor David Carroll’s Death Attributed to AIDS

NEW YORK — David Carroll’s physician said Thursday that the singer and actor who collapsed Wednesday in a recording studio had died of complications relating to AIDS.
Carroll, 41, the original baron in the Broadway musical “Grand Hotel,†had been under treatment for the disease, said Dr. Gerald Ginsberg.
