COLLEGE BASKETBALL REGIONAL PLAYOFFS : Antelope Valley Eliminated by Imperial Valley

Terrence Gibson scored a game-high 35 points as visiting Imperial Valley College upset Antelope Valley, 81-76, in a Southern California regional basketball playoff game Wednesday.
Imperial Valley, seeded 10th, improved to 24-10. Antelope Valley, seeded seventh, finished 20-13.
Gibson, a 6-foot-4 sophomore, was 13 of 19 from the floor and had seven rebounds. He was also three of three from three-point range. Johnny Franklin, a 6-8 sophomore, added 16 points and a game-high 13 rebounds for Imperial Valley.
Jason Grimes, a freshman from Palmdale High, scored 23 points and D. J. Jackson added 13 for Antelope Valley. Jackson was only six of 20 from the field.
Chris Walters added 14 points for the Marauders, who finished 29 of 71 (41%) from the field.
Long Beach 91, Valley 60--The Vikings ended the Monarchs’ season with a one-sided win at Long Beach.
Valley finished 19-14.
