SAN DIEGO : Student Reports Rape at UCSD

An 18-year-old UC San Diego student was raped Tuesday by a man who confronted her with a knife in the bedroom of her campus apartment, police said.
The attacker entered the victim’s third-floor apartment, at the northeast corner of the campus, through the unlocked front door at about 2 p.m., UCSD Police Sgt. Dave Isley said. The rapist had a folding knife with a 3 1/2-inch blade.
The rapist was described as a white male, about 21 years old, 6-foot-2, weighing 200 pounds with brown hair and brown eyes, Isley said. He was dressed in a white T-shirt with black lettering, black shorts and white tennis shoes.
