A Los Angeles City Council panel voted Monday to recommend hiring a consultant for $70,300 to prepare documents that justify extending the life of the North Hollywood Redevelopment Project.
Katz Hollis Inc., a downtown-based financial consultant, would be hired. Under the contract, the firm would prepare a report describing the blighted conditions in North Hollywood that warrant Community Redevelopment Agency intervention.
The CRA’s legislative mandate to conduct redevelopment activities in North Hollywood recently expired and the agency predicts that it may be the year 2014 before its work is completed.
