SCC Men Open Playoffs at Azusa Pacific

The Southern California College men’s basketball team, reeling from a late-season slump, will play at Azusa Pacific in the first round of the NAIA District 3 playoffs Tuesday.

The Vanguards (21-9) lost four of their last six Golden State Athletic Conference games after moving into first place. SCC, which is seeded fifth, finished the regular season Saturday with a 102-80 loss at Azusa Pacific (17-13). Eighth-seeded Christ College Irvine (14-15) will play at top-seeded Biola (28-3) Tuesday. Both games start at 7:30 p.m.
