Tiger Shooting
In all the news coverage of the shooting of a tiger at the San Diego Wild Animal Park, I think the focus has been misplaced.
The attention has been on the killing of the animal, when instead I think the real point of concern should be the escape. It very possibly could have escaped park grounds altogether, posing a great danger to both human beings and wildlife. It may, under the circumstances, have been prudent and even necessary to kill the tiger, but the real question is, why did he get out in the first place?
