A Rhode Island minister denied a report he offered the woman Mike Tyson raped $1 million to drop the case.

In a television interview, Desiree Washington said she had been offered $1 million to recant her allegations against Tyson. She did not disclose who made the offer.

New York Newsday, citing a source close to an FBI investigation into Washington’s allegation, reported that the Rev. Virgil A. Wood made the offer.

Meanwhile, a spokesman for the prosecutor said that attorneys were continuing to investigate reports that a juror said the verdict was fixed.
