COUNTYWIDE : Buchanan Backers Discuss Strategy
Buoyed by Republican presidential candidate Patrick Buchanan’s strong showing against President Bush, a small group of Republicans met Wednesday night to map the conservative challenger’s strategy in Ventura County.
Thirteen members of the Buchanan for President ’92 committee met for the first time in Thousand Oaks.
Organizers said they are gearing up for a fund-raiser March 13, when Buchanan visits the county on his way to Los Angeles to marshal votes for the June 2 primary.
