SOCCER ROUNDUP : In Orange League girls’ soccer:
Brea-Olinda 2, Anaheim 1 (2 OT)--Kristy Johnson scored with seven minutes to go in the second overtime period giving the Ladycats the victory in a playoff game to decide third place and the automatic berth in the Southern Section playoffs.
After regulation play ended in a scoreless tie, Brea-Olinda’s Karen Ferrier scored with five minutes left in the first overtime period. Anaheim’s Amanda Garcia tied the scored two minutes later.
In Pacific Coast League girls’ soccer:
Laguna Hills 4, Costa Mesa 1--Lisa Feniello and Nicole Jolicouer each scored twice for the Hawks, (5-6-5, 3-4-3), who assured themselves of third place.
In Sea View League girls’ soccer:
Woodbridge 4, University 0--Amber Willingham, Anna Hirst, Crissy Zaldivar and Carrie Miller each scored a goal for Woodbridge (9-6-4, 5-1-4), which earned a league co-championship with Corona del Mar.
In Angelus League boys’ soccer:
Servite 5, Bishop Amat 1--Servite fell behind, 1-0, but took a 2-1 halftime lead on Shawn Parchan’s two goals. Clay Harty then added two more, giving him 20 for the season, in the second half. Servite is 11-5-2 and 5-4.
In Century League boys’ soccer:
Foothill 1, El Modena 0--Marco Foto scored on a corner kick with 20 minutes left in the game for visiting Foothill (7-9-7, 4-4-2). El Modena clinched the league title Thursday with a victory over Orange.
In Garden Grove League boys’ soccer:
Kennedy 2, Los Amigos 1--The host Fighting Irish (14-4-2, 10-2-2) won their second consecutive league championship. After a scoreless first half, Eddie Lityard scored on a penalty kick to give Kennedy the lead. Robert Weber than scored his 20th goal of the season to make it 2-0. Alex Acosta scored for Los Amigos.
In Pacific Coast League boys’ soccer:
Laguna Hills 5, Laguna Beach 0--Brandon Wenzel and Giuseppe Lombardo each scored twice as the Hawks assured themselves of their second consecutive league championship.
Trabuco Hills 5, Century 0--Jeff Martino scored two for host Trabuco Hills (13-7-1, 7-2).
In South Coast League boys’ soccer:
Capistrano Valley 3, Dana Hills 1--Visiting Capistrano Valley (19-3-3, 7-1-2) clinched the league title with the victory. Jason Faulk had a goal and an assist and Chris Wallace and Kyle Berger also scored for Capistrano Valley.
El Toro 1, Mission Viejo 1--Ryan Pfeiffer scored on a header with two minutes left to give host El Toro (11-5-4, 6-2-2) the tie.
Ian Doleman scored five minutes into the second half for Mission Viejo (8-7-4, 4-4-2).
