Don’t Sell Out to Japanese
It is ironic that, on the same page showing a Japanese mayor admiring the newly completed Oxnard Library walkway, named for a Japanese city, it was revealed that in Ojai wealthy Japanese media mogul Kagehisa Toyama is still trying to win approval of his exclusive 200-acre golf course by donating money to various charitable groups.
Environmentalist Stan Greene should be commended for resisting these deceptive contributions. If we keep selling out to Japanese interests, we might as well rename our country the United States of Japan. The devious tactics employed by certain developers reduces our environmental standards and eats away at what precious little we have left in our country.
