Singer’s Accident Cancels L7’s Appearance at Bogart’s Tonight
Rock band L7 will not play as scheduled tonight at Bogart’s in Long Beach because of an injury to band member Suzi Gardener.
Slash Records publicist Sharon Liveten said Gardner, a singer-guitarist for the Los Angeles band, was hit on the head Wednesday night by a falling crane while shooting a video for the song “Pretend We’re Dead†in a Culver City sound studio. Gardner was hospitalized with a concussion and a broken cheekbone, but “she’s going to be OK,†Liveten said.
Those holding L7 tickets will be admitted free to see the other bands on tonight’s bill--Clawhammer, Trash Can School, Olivelawn and the Muffs. They can then choose to get refunds at the place of purchase, or hold the tickets for a rescheduled L7 show.
