Steve Howe, New York Yankee relief pitcher, pleaded not guilty to two misdemeanor drug counts in federal court in Missoula, Mont., and said he planned to report for spring training later this month despite the charges.

Also in the Missoula court, Frank Brickowski, a forward for the Milwaukee Bucks, pleaded guilty to a federal charge of possessing an ounce of marijuana, which authorities said was delivered to his Montana ranch last September.

Prosecutors recommended Brickowski pay a $1,000 fine and serve no jail time. Sentencing is scheduled for May 18.
