Approval of Rush
Re: “Rush Lights Up the Stage Visually, but Not Sonically” (Jan. 24): It is quite obvious that Jonathan Gold was not at the same Rush concert that I was, as his review was both unkind and unwarranted.
As I look back, a packed house was constantly on its feet screaming approval. I have been a loyal fan of Rush ever since their first show in this country Aug. 14, 1974, in Pittsburgh.
They have been playing the same style of high-tech music at a level of perfection that their fans know and love. They play their songs in concert exactly as they were originally recorded. After all, this is how the fans hear them and want them performed.
