Friend Kills Patient, Self

ROCHESTER, Minn. — A Mayo Clinic patient was shot and killed in his room Thursday by a male friend who then committed suicide, officials said. The victim, Ronald McCoy, 50, had been a patient in an infectious-diseases unit but was scheduled to be discharged soon.
