ANAHEIM : Deadline Today on Free House Painting
Elderly, disabled and low-income homeowners have until 5 p.m. today to call for an application for free house painting sponsored by the city.
Carolyn Griebe, the project’s coordinator, said the city’s goal is to paint 45 homes this year on Paint Your Heart Out Anaheim Day on May 2. Volunteers will do the painting using donated supplies. Last year, 500 volunteers painted 28 homes.
In addition to the painting, trees and shrubs will be trimmed and smoke detectors and water-saving devices will be installed.
For an application, call (714) 974-9481.
