CAL STATE NORTHRIDGE : Meeting of 900 Teachers Planned

More than 900 teachers and administrators are expected to attend the sixth annual Southern California Kindergarten Conference next Friday and Saturday at Cal State Northridge.
The event, sponsored by CSUN’s School of Education and the Child Development Club, will feature 100 workshops and two keynote speakers.
Jacki Berger of Music for Children will discuss the use of folk music to teach values. The other keynote address will be given by Valerie Welk, Honor Teacher of 1982 in the Clovis Unified School District and Fresno County’s Teacher of the Year in 1983.
Also participating will be Leo Krzywkowski, associate dean of CSUN’s School of Education, and Maria Azucena Vigil, the 1991 California Teacher of the Year.
