Hoover 61, Arcadia 57 (OT)--Gabe Alvarado had 17 points and 14 rebounds to lead Hoover (9-7, 1-1) in a Pacific League game. Dave Ulloa had 14 points and Chad Reese, who hit three free throws in overtime, added 13 for Hoover.
Pasadena 79, Glendale 59--Mike Wright had 29 points and eight rebounds for visiting Glendale (10-8, 0-2) in a Pacific League game. Pasadena (13-3, 2-0) led, 22-8, after one quarter.
Muir 54, Crescenta Valley 53--Jacque Vaughn hit a 10-foot basket at the buzzer to lead host Muir (10-8) in a Pacific League game. Josh Willis scored a game-high 34 points for Crescenta Valley, which trailed, 42-37, after three quarters.
Canyon 68, Palmdale 60--Joe Ferguson had 22 points and 12 rebounds for visiting Canyon (9-7, 1-1) in a Golden League game. Erick Stone had 22 points to lead Palmdale (7-10, 0-2).
San Gabriel 52, Burroughs 50--Phil Hernandez scored 20 points and Gabe Colon added 11 for host Burroughs (5-9, 0-1) in a Foothill League game.
Santa Clara 52, Calabasas 24--The host Saints improved to 13-3, 2-0 in league play with the win.
L.A. Baptist 51, Village Christian 41--Mark Heerema scored 17 points and Brad Imbler added 15 to lead L.A. Baptist (9-4, 1-0) in an Alpha League opener.
Harvard-Westlake 85, St. Genevieve 73--Greg Peters scored 26 points and Tarlin Ray added 24 for Harvard (10-5, 2-0) in a San Fernando League game.
Montclair Prep 89, Western Christian 69--Jared Sonne had a game-high 28 points and nine steals and Kris Johnson added 25 points to lead Montclair Prep (14-1, 1-0) in an Alpha League game at Western Christian.

Thousand Oaks 79, Camarillo 40--Michelle Palmisano scored 28 points and Melissa Wood added 18 to lead Thousand Oaks (13-1, 3-1) in a Marmonte League game.
Westlake 68, Agoura 18--Lauren Goldstine (18 points), Shanon Simcock (13), Keely Thorp (12) and Marlee Organ (11) led Westlake (12-3, 4-0) in a Marmonte League game at home.
Buena 79, Santa Barbara 30--Laura Dahl scored 16 points to lead Buena (10-1, 4-0) in a Channel League game. Mikko Giordano had 15 points and Julie Hardy added 14 for the Bulldogs.
Pasadena 42, Glendale 38--Tracy Young had 20 points and 10 rebounds for host Glendale (11-6, 1-1)--which made only 17 of 36 free throws--in a Pacific League game. Jenny Dalton had 11 rebounds for Glendale.
Palmdale 64, Canyon 23--Latisha Beam scored 27 points to lead Palmdale (11-7, 2-0) past host Canyon in a Golden League game.
Chaminade 65, Notre Dame 51--Georgia Roy had 11 points and 14 rebounds and Aubrey Tompkins had 10 assists to lead visiting Chaminade (13-5, 1-1) in a Mission League game.
Western Christian 53, Montclair Prep 35--Dana Bennish had 12 points for Montclair Prep (4-5, 0-1) in an Alpha League game.
Oak Park 41, Bishop Diego 21--Jodi Runyan had 14 points and 21 rebounds for host Oak Park (6-6, 1-0) in a Tri-Valley League game.
