NBC Chief Wants to Shift Network Focus: After a tumultuous year of restructuring and cutbacks, NBC’s goal in 1992 is to shift its focus from finances to programming, NBC President and Chief Executive Bob Wright told a press gathering in Marina del Rey. “Television is not a viewership or financial issue; it’s a programming issue,” Wright said. Despite the fact that the NBC network lost an estimated $60 million to $70 million last year--and expects to lose money again in 1992, Wright acknowledged--the network feels comfortable with its position, he said.
