The following are selected entries from the crime logs of local law enforcement agencies between Dec. 16 and Dec. 22. GLENDALE West Chevy Chase Drive, 300 block--A man was arrested on Dec. 16 at 3:48 a.m. when police discovered brass knuckles and slide hammers, used in auto burglaries, in his vehicle. Kenilworth and Lexington avenues--A man and a juvenile were arrested Dec. 17 at 2:23 a.m., when police found numerous tools utilized in auto burglaries in their vehicle. West Chevy Chase Drive, 300 block--Christmas presents, a VCR and a briefcase valued at $800 were stolen from an apartment on Dec. 17 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m. Glendale Galleria--A fanny pack and bags containing $700 in new merchandise were stolen from a woman at knifepoint in the mall parking lot on Dec. 18 at 5:45 p.m. North Brand Boulevard, 300 block--A woman on her way to make a business deposit at a bank was robbed at gunpoint of $8,000 on Dec. 18 at 10:27 a.m. Rimcrest Drive, 2100 block--A burglar was caught on Dec. 20 in the act of loading a TV, valued at $500, into a vehicle. Allen Avenue, 400 block--Two shotguns, two rifles, a handgun and Christmas presents valued at $2,400 were stolen from a home on Dec. 20 between 7 a.m. and 6 p.m. Stone Lane, 1500 block--Two young men were arrested after attempting to steal a car at gunpoint on Dec. 20 at 10 p.m. North Verdugo Road, 1800 block--A resident reported that his home had been entered, and a king-size bed, bedding, 35 dress shirts and other clothing valued at $5,250 were destroyed with cutting tools on Dec. 21. East Colorado Boulevard, 1500 block--Five gang members were arrested Dec. 22 at 12:42 a.m. in Carr Park, after a fight. LA CANADA FLINTRIDGE Angeles Crest Highway, 5000 block--A man was arrested and charged with grand theft auto on Dec. 21 at 7:40 a.m. Hampton Road, 4900 block--A home was ransacked on Dec. 20 between 1 and 2 p.m. and more than $800 in camera equipment, binoculars and a TV were stolen. LA CRESCENTA Orange Avenue, 2900 block--A man was assaulted as he attempted to prevent thieves from stealing his truck on Dec. 21 at 12:05 a.m. Caracas Street, 2300 block--A cellular phone and remote control unit valued at $1,703 were stolen from a truck between Dec. 19 and 20. ATWATER Casitas Avenue, 3300 block--A person entered a home asking to use a phone on Dec. 17 at 9:30 p.m., then pulled a knife and took jewelry valued at $275 and a motor vehicle. EAGLE ROCK Buchanan Street, 5000 block--Five people with red headbands ransacked a school on Dec. 14 or 15, smashing electronic equipment and desks. Eagle Rock Boulevard, 4600 block--Burglars stole a stereo valued at $2,059 from a church between Dec. 14 and 16. Colorado Boulevard, 1700 block--Six people armed with baseball bats attacked a person seated in his vehicle on Dec. 20 at 10:15 p.m. Eagle Rock Boulevard, 5100 block--Tools valued at $4,679 were stolen from a garage on Dec. 21 or 22. ECHO PARK Allesandro Street, 2000 block--A man used a handgun at 6 a.m. on Dec. 18 to rob a person of a purse and jewelry valued at $288. West Sunset Boulevard, 2800 block--A liquor store was robbed of $300 at knifepoint on Dec. 21 at midnight; the suspects fired a gun at the ceiling and fled. FRANKLIN HILL Lyric Avenue, 2300 block--A TV and video equipment valued at $850 were stolen from a home on Dec. 16 between 11:30 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Van Hill Terrace, 2500 block--Firearms, cameras and equipment valued at $2,790 were stolen from an apartment Dec. 18 between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. GLASSELL PARK Fletcher Drive, 3400 block--An apartment was ransacked, and a stereo and video equipment valued at $1,580 were stolen on Dec. 17 between 7:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. Lavell Drive, 3600 block--Video equipment and clothing valued at $2,000 were stolen from a home on Dec. 16 between noon and 6 p.m. Eagle Rock Boulevard, 3400 block--A garment factory was burglarized on Dec. 21 or 22, and industrial equipment and clothing valued at $34,800 were reported stolen. HIGHLAND PARK Bridewell Street, 100 block--A robber entered a home through a window, forced the occupant to the floor at gunpoint and stole $500 on Dec. 17 at 1:45 p.m. Shults Street, 3000 block--An armed robber took money and jewelry valued at $3,700 from a person in a car on Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. Avenue 56, 1800 block--Burglars smashed a window lock to enter a residence and steal video equipment and a stereo valued at $1,270 on Dec. 18 between 1 and 7:30 p.m. North Avenue 64, 300 block--An apartment was ransacked on Dec. 19 between 9 and 11 a.m., and a TV and jewelry valued at $2,190 were stolen. Avenue 54, 1000 block--Burglars kicked open the front door of a home and took jewelry and precious metals valued at $2,400 on Dec. 19 at 9 p.m. MT. WASHINGTON North Pepper Street, 3300 block--A person walking on a sidewalk was shot in the leg Dec. 20 at 8:45 p.m. by someone in a passing vehicle. North Figueroa Street, 2600 block--Probably using bolt cutters, thieves broke into a gas station, where supplies and equipment, valued at $5,019, were stolen on Dec. 19 or 20. Tacoma Avenue, 3600 block--Burglars smashed a window of a home and then stole video equipment and a TV valued at $1,000 on Dec. 20 between 7 a.m. and 4:20 p.m. Idell Street, 2800 block--Thieves pried open a locked window, then took money and jewelry valued at $1,200 on Dec. 20 between 6:30 and 11 p.m. HOLLYWOOD (WEST SILVER LAKE) North Hillhurst Avenue, 2100 block--A person was shot during an armed street robbery on Dec. 16 at 9:15 p.m., and money and luggage valued at $225 were stolen.
