Five Airlines Order Boeing Planes: They placed $3.1 billion in orders for 34 jetliners, Boeing Commercial Airplane Group announced. British Airways and Qantas ordered 747-400s, United Airlines 767-300ERs, Delta Air Lines 757 twin jets and Aer Lingus 737-400s and 737-500s. Seattle-based Boeing’s 1991 orders now stand at 252 jetliners worth $20.26 billion.
