In another Tournament of Champions championship quarterfinal:
Huntington Beach 55, Servite 53-The Oilers trailed, 51-46, with 1:56 remaining but rallied behind guard Tommy Walden. Walden made two jump shots and teammate Jeff Vanderwal sealed the victory with eight seconds left by making two free throws.
In the La Quinta tournament:
Savanna 59, La Quinta 52--Tobie Priest scored 29 points as Savanna (4-1) advanced into tonight’s 8 p.m. final with Corona del Mar.
In the championship semifinals of the girls’ division of the El Dorado Co-Ed Classic:
Mission Viejo 48, Downey 45--Karina Gudino made four free throws in the last 16 seconds to overcome a one-point deficit.
In nonleague girls’ basketball:
Los Alamitos 63, Pacifica 27--Cindy Yamasaki scored 29 points and had 11 steals for Los Alamitos.
