Early Prime: Two more West Coast TV stations will move up prime-time programming by one hour. CBS affiliate KPIX-TV announced the switch Sunday, as did NBC affiliate KRON. Since 1975, prime-time has run from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. The decision to shift to a 7 p.m. start is designed to appeal to people who don’t want to stay up late, said KPIX vice president and general manager Carolyn Wean. In Sacramento, NBC affiliate KCRA switched to the earlier start in September in an eight-month experiment.
