Wayne Riley sank a 40-foot birdie putt on the final hole to win the $560,000 Australian Open in Melbourne by one stroke with a four-under-par 68. He finished the tournament three under par.
The 29-year-old Australian finished one shot better than amateur Robert Allenby, who also had a final round of 68.
Riley earned $100,800 for the biggest victory of his career.
Third-round leader Naomichi (Joe) Ozaki shot a four-under-par 68 to win the $1.077 million Casio World Open golf tournament in Kaimoncho, Japan, by two shots.
