CHRISTMAS RUN--Fast and flat 5k and 10k races on Saturday, through Venice and Marina del Rey with start and finish along the beach in Santa Monica. Proceeds will benefit the Santa Monica Restoration Project, a coalition to protect Santa Monica Bay. Runs start at 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. For more information, call 310-LUV2RUN.
PEARL HARBOR DAY--A ceremony to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor, Dec. 7, 1941, will take place on Friday at 1 p.m. at the Los Angeles National Cemetery amphitheater, 950 S. Sepulveda.
CAR RALLY--Historic car enthusiasts are planning a salute to the survivors and to those who died in the attack on Pearl Harbor. Cars will travel along Pacific Coast Highway from the Long Beach Naval Station to North Island Naval Station in San Diego on Saturday and Sunday. For more information, call (714) 846-5287.
