SMALL FACES: Rickie Lee Jones is considering legal action over the use of her voice in the Orb’s techno-dance hit “Little Fluffy Clouds.” The song incorporates dialogue from a Jones interview, including the title phrase. . . . Faith No More is about to enter a San Francisco studio to record its follow-up to “The Real Thing.” Look for it in the spring.
Capitol has signed the re-formed Television, the groundbreaking ‘70s New York band featuring the stunning guitar interplay of Tom Verlaine and Richard Lloyd. A new album (the group only released two in the first go-around) and tour are on the boards for 1992.
Great White guitarist Michael Lardie suffered a hairline fracture of his wrist during a recent attempt to bench-press 250 pounds. . . . C+C Music Factory’s Robert Clivilles and David Cole will make their L.A. deejaying debut at the Shark Club on Monday, with Clivilles spinning the records and Cole improvising on keyboards over the songs--the way the pair started in New York.
