Al Jerome has been named president and chief executive of Spectradyne Inc., a Richardson, Tex.-based pay-per-view network serving the hotel industry. Jerome, 49, had been president of NBC Television Stations division, overseeing six TV stations owned by the network, including KNBC-TV in Los Angeles, where he also was general manager from 1980 to 1982. He succeeds James H. Boso, who remains a consultant to the company.
Spectradyne, which is available in 750,000 hotel rooms, is a subsidiary of LP Holding Inc., which is in turn owned by the Marvin Davis family.
