USC, which is 3-7 after losing to Arizona, 31-14, on Saturday, has taken a losing record into the UCLA game eight times, posting a 4-3-1 record.
Twice, the Trojans beat UCLA teams with winning records. In 1960, its first season under Coach John McKay, USC brought a 3-5 record and two-game losing streak into the game and beat a 5-1-1 UCLA team, 17-6.
In 1985, the Trojans took a 4-5 record and two-game losing streak into the game and won, 17-13, over a Rose Bowl-bound UCLA team that was 8-1-1.
USC teams with losing records also beat UCLA in 1937 and 1940 and tied in 1941, but UCLA also brought losing records into those games.
