Trio-Tech Reports 2nd Straight Quarterly Profit
Trio-Tech International, a San Fernando maker of equipment for testing semiconductors, reported a fiscal first-quarter profit of $3,000, contrasted with a year-earlier loss of $81,000.
The earnings in the quarter that ended Sept. 27, while meager, represented the second straight quarterly profit for Trio-Tech, which has suffered chronic losses in recent years. The company’s first-quarter revenue rose 6% from a year earlier, to $3.96 million from $3.73 million.
