Camera Platforms International Inc., a Valencia maker of production equipment for the television and movie industries, reported a third-quarter loss of $420,352, compared with a year-earlier loss of $679,128.
The narrower loss in the quarter ended Sept. 30 came on a 4% decline in Camera Platforms’ revenue, to $655,197 from $681,750 a year earlier. The company said it continues to be hampered by the economic recession and by reduced movie and TV production schedules.
For the first nine months of 1991, Camera Platforms lost $1.34 million, compared with a $1.26-million loss a year earlier, and its nine-month revenue tumbled 41%, to $1.91 million from $3.26 million.
