In the Division 3-A girls’ tennis playoffs:
Laguna Beach 17, Riverside Poly 1--Laguna Beach’s Windsom Falcone swept 6-1, 6-4, 6-1, for visiting Laguna Beach (17-4), which plays Westlake Harvard in the quarterfinals Tuesday.
Los Angeles Marlborough 14, Foothill 4--Amanda Parson lost two sets in the same match for the first time in her career for visiting Foothill (16-3).
Ania Bleszynski, who is ranked in the top 10 nationally of the girls’ 16s, defeated Parson, 6-2, in No. 1 singles.
In the Division 2-A girls’ tennis playoffs:
Los Alamitos 15, Sonora 3--Susan Huberman swept at No. 1 singles, 6-0, 6-0, 6-2, for visiting Los Alamitos (21-0-1). Los Alamitos plays Santa Margarita, which defeated West Hills Chaminade, 12-6, in the quarterfinals Tuesday.
Mater Dei 15, Hemet 3--Erika Asmuss swept 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 for host Mater Dei (14-3).
Rosary 15, Esperanza 3--Bonnie Neri swept at No. 3 singles, 6-0, 6-0, 6-0 for visiting Rosary (16-4-1).
Sunny Hills 13, Woodland Hills Louisville 5--Karen Galvin swept at No. 1 singles, 6-1, 6-1, 6-0 for host Sunny Hills (19-1).
In the Division 3-A girls’ volleyball playoffs:
La Habra 3, Fontana 1--Zrinka Kristich had 25 kills to lead top-seeded La Habra at Fontana.
In 2-A water polo playoffs:
Brea-Olinda 9, San Marino 8 (sudden death)--Bryan Noyes extra-man goal 29 seconds into sudden death completed the victory for Brea-Olinda (20-4) at Cal Tech.
Costa Mesa 8, San Bernardino 7--Sam Grayeli scored the game-winner 4:58 left as the Mustangs (15-10) advanced.
