Yeas, Nays Speak Out on Measure A Rent Control Plan

Regarding rent control in Laguna Beach: I do not like to be threatened. That is what the mobile park owners are doing to me and other residents of Laguna Beach. They say that they will sue the city until they get their way and that it will cost the city hundreds of thousands of dollars. If they are willing to do this because of rent control, what will they do when they do not get their way when they want to overdevelop their property in the future? We citizens of Laguna Beach might as well fight them now.
Without some protection for those seniors at Treasure Island, as well as those at other Laguna Beach mobile home parks, I feel that some form of rent control is necessary.
I am the owner of rental property in Laguna Beach, as well as a homeowner. Even though I do have rental property, I favor a form of rent control to protect the seniors, many of them on fixed incomes, who are residents of mobile home parks in Laguna Beach.
