Pinkerton’s Acquires Nashville Company

Pinkerton’s Inc. in Van Nuys, one of the nation’s largest providers of security guards, said it purchased Business Risks International, an investigations consulting firm, for an undisclosed price.
BRI, based in Nashville, Tenn., has annual revenue of $25 million, 21 domestic and six international offices, and 300 employees. Its president and founder, Don Walker, was named executive vice president of Pinkerton’s as part of the acquisition.
The acquisition is part of a trend among big security companies to expand their detective and investigative services.
