Nissan to Boost U.S. Parts Purchases: In the face of growing protectionist sentiment in Washington, Japan’s No. 2 auto maker said it plans to increase its purchases from U.S. auto parts suppliers by 1994 to $3.3 billion, about 40% above the projected 1992 level.
