More Morrissey: The promoter of the next two concerts by Morrissey doesn’t anticipate a need for extra precautions when the pop star moves on to do shows Thursday in Minneapolis and Friday in Chicago, despite injuries to nearly 50 people at his Pauley Pavilion, UCLA, performance Friday. Andy Cirzan of Minneapolis-based Jam Productions attributed the incident to the singer’s “rabid fan base” in Los Angeles. The number of faintings and reported minor injuries stemming from the singer’s concert Monday at Santa Monica Civic Auditorium were nothing unusual, Morrissey’s personal assistant said. “People have been fainting at Morrissey concerts since the tour began in April,” said Jo Spee. “They’re perfectly entitled to do that.”
